Get The Smile of Your Dreams with Cosmetic Dentistry in Tulsa, OK

Dental veneers are thin porcelain shells made to look like the front of healthy teeth. They are custom colored to look like your teeth. They are also shaped to fit your teeth in particular. In the treatment, our dentists will create them to your liking and then carefully bond them to the front of your teeth. Once placed, they cover anything that make your teeth look imperfect, including chips, cracks, and stains. They can even cover small gaps between teeth.
Change My Gums with Veneers
Cosmetic dentistry is about more than just your teeth. Your gums are also part of your smile. When they have a problem, your smile has a problem. If your gums are too big (called a gummy smile), they can make your teeth look unnaturally small. Our gum reshaping treatment can move your gumline away from your teeth so they look normal. Or, you might have the opposite problem: your gums have receded from your teeth. This exposes your tooth roots, putting them at risk for infection. With the revolutionary Chao Pinhole® Surgical Technique, we can cover your teeth properly with your gum tissue.

One of the things that I do on every case that I'm doing a cosmetic makeover, I get impressions of the patient's mouth as it is. We duplicate that model, then I do the procedure on the second model, and use white wax to simulate what the veneers are going to create. That way, before I ever touch a tooth, I know exactly what result I'm going to get, and what it took to get there. I can show the patient the final result. I do that on every case before I ever touch a tooth. That way, I know and they know and we both can agree. If they see anything that they want changed, I can change it on the wax model very easily, then we take that to the mouth. The patient and I don't make a final colors choice until the day they walk out in the temporary veneers.
I let them wear those for a few days so that they and their friends or family can react to the new look. Frequently people are shocked and they think, “Wow.” They frequently come back and say, “You know, can I go just a little bit whiter,” because they very quickly adapt to it. I like for them to see it in their own mouths. See the color, see if there is any little contour they want changed to make it exactly what they want.
Whether you’re a teenager or an adult, wearing metal braces can be embarrassing. They can also be uncomfortable. So why do people go through with it? Because your smile can embarrass you when it’s full of crooked, misaligned teeth. At our Tulsa, OK dental office, you can get an alternative to braces: Invisalign. This orthodontic treatment uses a series of clear plastic trays similar to mouthguards. They’re almost invisible when worn, and they can move crooked teeth so your smile is straight and even.
True Teeth Whitening
Over the years, food and drink can leave behind stains on your teeth. The staining starts small but eventually makes your white teeth look dull, dark, and unhealthy. Teeth whitening can lift those stains, but some products are very weak and do not give you the results you want. If you’re going to do it, why not do it right? At our Tulsa, OK dental office, we have a professional-strength teeth whitening system that uses a laser to activate a bleaching gel. In as little as one visit, your smile will look amazing.
Teeth Contouring to Repair Minor DamageRead Transcript
Cosmetic dentistry came onto the scene in a major way a little over 20 years ago and I'd been waiting for that because I always wanted to be able to do really fine, artistic dentistry, and we didn't have the materials. We were, up until that point in time, we had to use crowns, for example, that had a metal core under them and after however many years, frequently, the person would get a black line at the gum line. 20 years ago, they came out with ceramics that we could use that did not require the use of metal, and I went out to Las Vegas Institute many, many weeks, and went through their entire continuum, about seven courses, to learn how to do that at the very highest level. Cosmetic dentistry not only requires good materials but an artistic eye, so it's about 50% science and 50% art and not every dentist has that. I love it and feel that I do a great job with it and have a lot of happy patients who have beautiful smiles that I think would agree.
Just like a car can collect dents and scratches over the years, so can your teeth. Enamel is tough, but it’s not impervious. Chips and craters can collect on your teeth even if you take great care of them. We can fix these flaws in no time with teeth contouring. One of our dentists will carefully remove a small amount of enamel from your affected teeth. This buffs out imperfections, turning teeth that are a bit banged up into teeth that are smooth and healthy-looking. This procedure is also great for altering a slightly misshapen tooth or a tooth that’s longer than its neighbors.

Eliminate Facial Wrinkles at the Dentist Office!
Many times our Tulsa, OK dentists have heard from their plastic surgeon friends how jealous they are of the long-lasting results cosmetic dentistry can make in the youthful appearance of the patients they see. As we age, our teeth wear and facial muscles can begin to sag. Dental veneers can often open a person’s bite, which creates the look as if someone has had a facelift. This is just another wonderful benefit that veneers offer.
However, many of our patients want to go further and eliminate, or at least soften, the lines and wrinkles that often form around their lips. These wrinkles occur due to a loss in collagen. Utilizing SmoothLase™, gentle laser light can be used to stimulate new collagen growth which lifts and tightens the skin allowing the new collagen to fill in those small wrinkles producing a youthful “smooth” look to the skin. SmoothLase™ can also address sagging jowls (underneath and sides of the chin) which can create a “facelift look” without surgery.
