Accidents happen. Adam learned that the hard way one day when he was out cycling.
His accident left him with two broken teeth in the front of his smile. When he started asking where he could fix his teeth, people recommended Dr. Jan Cobble, our dentist in Tulsa, OK.
We were able to design dental crowns for Adam that look and feel like his natural teeth.Read Transcript
When I first came, it was a result of an injury; I had been out cycling and had an injury. We had been trying to find the best dentist to do that. I actually had broken my two front teeth. When you have an injury, especially that's so critical like the front of your smile, you want the best person. We really only got one name back and that was Dr. Cobble.
I was very self-conscious about having my teeth broken from the accident, and wanted to get that process fixed as quickly as I can. That's what they did is they got me in, I thought, very quickly. They were very understanding about what I was trying to do and the fact that I wanted to get that fixed as quickly as I could.
I think what was probably really impressive about what Dr. Cobble did is because—my teeth, they were actually broken out. When you start talking about creating temporaries or permanent teeth, I mean, he created teeth that to me, looked natural. What's really bizarre to me is they actually feel like my real teeth. What was interesting to me about that is the fact that he never saw me with the original teeth—with my real teeth. If I didn't know it was a crown, you'd just never know. They actually feel and look just like my real teeth.
Actually, I didn't have any pain through that process in what I had to have done because it was actually a repair. It sounds bad. It sounds like it would be something that would be pretty rough, but it wasn't. Actually, Dr. Cobble really took care of me. One of those things—when you're in an accident like that and you're really hurting, you need that expertise. The other thing you need is a little compassion. You need a little bit of understanding and that's what we got when we came. It wasn't just from Dr. Cobble, it really was really from the front desk all the way through to Dr. Cobble and his assistant.
